The project concerns a robotized twisting line including 17 machines, designed to automate the process of manufacturing spool ropes. Two KUKA KR90 R3700 Prime K robots are installed on two 20.5-meter-long rails. An ultra-precise mechanism integrated into their end effector enables these robots to take finished coils out of the twisting machine, while enabling the next production cycle to be started.

The line also includes a system for weighing and measuring coil lengths for quality control and verification purposes. Each robot can achieve a maximum output of 60 coils per hour, which means that the entire line is capable of producing up to 120 coils per hour. Coil diameters range from 200 mm to 300 mm.
